Vantix Systems’ ATMS+ solutions played a pivotal role in the upgrade of the Royal BC Museum’s admissions and reservations system.
As a new Crown Corporation, the motivation to make the “right decisions” was high for the new management team at the Royal BC Museum. The museum required a solution to replace their in-house developed ticketing and reservation system.
In addition to their general admission sales, RBCM offers many programs and workshops to school groups and the general public. They also have a large Membership base that operates under the Friends of the Royal BC Museum. All of these components needed to be considered when choosing a replacement system, while also looking forward to the features and functionality that would need to be incorporated into the solution to facilitate the ongoing growth of the museum.
Preparing for the future
Vantix Systems worked hand-in-hand with the museum to deliver a complete solution that met all of their existing and future needs. Our partnership with the Royal BC Museum allowed for a seamless transition from their old system to ATMS+. To meet their future requirements of online and self-service ticketing, ATMS+ Development staff met with the museums IT and Visitor Services staff to develop a real-time online ticketing solution in preparation of a large traveling exhibit that would be showcased at the museum during their already busy summer season. In addition, Self-Service Ticketing Kiosks were customized for deployment to the lobby of the museum. Both of these box office alternatives produced a bar-coded ticket that could be scanned at an Express Entry terminal for no line-up admission to the museum.
